Library Card

You must have a current library card to use the library services.

How to obtain a library card:
  1. Must be an Oliver Springs resident
  2. Fill out an application in the library
  3. Provide a Tennessee Driver's License or Photo ID
  4. Bring proof of residency (also applies to non Oliver Springs residents) with post mark from last 30 days (Ex: Utility bill, phone bill, cable bill)
  5. No fee for residents
$20.00 fee for non Oliver Springs residents
Replacement cards can be obtained for $5.00


Library Services

Books  - limit 5 per account - due back 2 weeks from checkout

  • Books 5 per account - due back 2 weeks from checkout
  • DVD - limit 2 per household - due back 2 days from checkout
  • Computer usage - 30 minutes
  • Letter size copies (black and white only)  $0.25 per page
  • Faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page, we do not receive faxes for the public
    Cash, check, money order accepted. We do not have a way to take debit or credit cards at this time.

Late Fees: 

  • $0.10 per day per book or magazine
  • $0.50 per day per DVD
  • Patron accounts must be in good standing before computers can be used or additional materials can be checked out.
  • Cardholders are responsible for all overdue fees, and or costs for lost, stolen or damaged materials.

Usage policies:

  • Children under the age of 14 years staying at the library must be accompanied by an adult
  • Internet users under 18 must have a signed permission slip on file or parent / guardian present.
  • Library cards are required to use computers and to check out materials
